Traveling Basketball

If you have a son entering 3rd grade or above this year they are eligible to participate in our traveling basketball program.  Our travel program plays in tournaments grades 4-8 but we do allow 3rd graders to tryout for the 4th grade teams.  Here is some information to keep in mind regarding the travel program:

  • Registration is open for traveling basketball on our basketball website. Here you can find out more information.  The cost of the program is $360 and includes practice times, tournaments, shooting shirt, and a basketball.  Uniforms are also provided but must be returned at the end of the year. The teams play 10 weekend tournaments and have at least 2 practices per week.

  • Tryouts are Sunday September 24, times have yet TBD. All players must tryout.  We do our best to not "cut" any players and make sure all that are interested have a team to play on.

  • There is a mandatory parent meeting to find out more about the program on Wednesday night September 20 in the BHS Cafeteria at 7:00.  There will also be in person registration available prior to the meeting.

  • If you are interested in coaching, applications are also up on our website.  They are due by September 10 as this year we will be allowing the selected coaches to participate in tryout evaluation.

  • This year we will be hosting former NBA All Star, Duke National Champion, and Dream Teamer Christian Laettner for a weekend of basketball clinics the weekend of Oct 27-29.  As a member of the traveling basketball program you will be able to attend this clinic at no additional cost.  Times will be released at a later date.
